GARDEZ (Pajhwok): The reburial of Habibullah Kalakani, known as Afghanistan’s bandit king, triggered a protest in southeaster Paktia province on Friday. Kalakani was reburied in Kabul hours after an attack on the people carrying his coffin. At least four people were injured and one security official killed. ZARANJ (Pajhwok): A roadside explosion killed three Afghan National Army (ANA) soldiers and injured four others on Tuesday in Dilaram district of southweste Nimroz province, an official said. Najibullah Hayat, the district chief, told Pajhwok Afghan News the blast occurred on the Herat-Kandahar highway. The injured soldiers were evacuated to the Dilaram district’s hospital and their health condition was satisfactory. “The landmine has been recently planted by the insurgents on the highway,” he added.
