GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): Local officials on Saturday said security situation in southe Ghazni province was deteriorating with each passing day after the Ministry of Interior (MoI) downsized police force in the province. ZARANJ (Pajhwok): A roadside explosion killed three Afghan National Army (ANA) soldiers and injured four others on Tuesday in Dilaram district of southweste Nimroz province, an official said. Najibullah Hayat, the district chief, told Pajhwok Afghan News the blast occurred on the Herat-Kandahar highway. The injured soldiers were evacuated to the Dilaram district’s hospital and their health condition was satisfactory. “The landmine has been recently planted by the insurgents on the highway,” he added. SHIBERGHAN (Pajhwok): A girl was killed and another two girls and a boy were injured in a landmine explosion in Qush Tepa district of northe Jawzjan province on Monday, an official said. The goveor’s spokesman, Mohammad Raza Ghafori, told Pajhwok Afghan News the blast took place when the children were crossing a road in Chaghar village of the district.
