SAR-I-PUL (Pajhwok): Eleven Afghan National Army (ANA) soldiers, including their commander, have surrendered to the Taliban in the Sozma Qala district of northe Sar-i-Pul province, an official said on Sunday. Goveor Mohammad Zahir Wahdat told Pajhwok Afghan News Commander Shah Wali, in-charge of ANA unit in Kor-Khab locality developed links with his father who was the Taliban’s shadow district chief for Takhar’s Dasht-i-Qala district. LASHKARGAH (Pajhwok): Six civilians have been killed and five others wounded as a result of a landmine explosion in the Nawa district of southe Helmand province, an official said on Monday. Omar Zwak, the goveor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News the roadside bomb struck a fielder branded vehicle belonging to civilians near Afghan National Army’s (ANA) camp.
