SAR-I-PUL (Pajhwok): Eleven Afghan National Army (ANA) soldiers, including their commander, have surrendered to the Taliban in the Sozma Qala district of northe Sar-i-Pul province, an official said on Sunday. Goveor Mohammad Zahir Wahdat told Pajhwok Afghan News Commander Shah Wali, in-charge of ANA unit in Kor-Khab locality developed links with his father who was the Taliban’s shadow district chief for Takhar’s Dasht-i-Qala district. PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): Seventeen people, including four suicide bombers, were killed and more than 50 others wounded in two separate terrorist attacks in Pakistan’s northweste Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province on Friday. ZARANJ (Pajhwok): A roadside explosion killed three Afghan National Army (ANA) soldiers and injured four others on Tuesday in Dilaram district of southweste Nimroz province, an official said. Najibullah Hayat, the district chief, told Pajhwok Afghan News the blast occurred on the Herat-Kandahar highway. The injured soldiers were evacuated to the Dilaram district’s hospital and their health condition was satisfactory. “The landmine has been recently planted by the insurgents on the highway,” he added.
