3 dead, over 40 injured in Nangarhar mosque blast

JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Three worshippers including Imam were killed and more than 40 others sustained injuries in a detonation during Jumma prayer in easte Nangarhar province, an official said on Friday.

The incident occurred at around 1:30pm during Jumma prayer, when explosives--placed in Mihrab of the mosque-- went off in the Mazina area of Rodat district, the gubeatorial spokesman, Ataullah Khogyani told Pajhwok Afghan News.

Initial reports showed that prayer leader was among three worshippers dead and more than 40 others wounded, he said.
