2 police killed in Lashkargah bomb blast

LASHKARGAH (Pajhwok): Two policemen were killed in a bomb blast in the capital of southe Helmand province on Sunday afteoon, an official said.

The blast took place in Anar Bagh locality of Bolan area of Lashkargah, the provincial capital, at about 5pm, the goveor’s spokesman, Omar Zwak, told Pajhwok Afghan News.

He said the blast killed two policemen and injured a third.

Bolan district police chief Abdul Wasi said the blast killed a police post commander Ziaul Haq and his guard. His second guard was injured in the blast, he added.

Six months ago, a blast in the same area killed four police.
