-India (TAPI)gas pipeline will be completed by 2019, Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources Shahid Khaqan Abbasi says.
“Work on TAPI projectwas ongoing at a rapid pace. The pipeline, a project of 20 to 25 billion dollars, will be completed by 2019,”the Associated Press of Pakistan quoted the minister as saying.
Addressing the Multan Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Saturday, Abbasi said the four nations had signed an initial investment agreement, clearing the way for updating the feasibility study and finalising the pipeline route in Afghanistan.
The agreement was signed between the four nations and the TAPI Pipeline Project Company in Istanbul last month.Afghanistan, Pakistan and India will have 5% shareholding each and the remaining 85% will be held by Turkmenistan.
