KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): Australia has vowed to provide another $300 million to Afghanistaninfo-icon for the support of its national security forces until 2020 besides $500 million which was pledged earlier.

The aouncement came at a time when NATOinfo-icon member-state gathered in Warsaw, the capital of Poland to renew its pledges for the financial and technical support of Afghan Security forces up to 2020.

Earlier, Australia aounced that she would provide $500 million to Afghan security forces from 2010 to 2017.

The extra $300 million pledge of aid was aounced after US president extended the stay of US forces in the war to country till 2017 and decided to pull out over 1,000 troops from Afghanistan.

Currently as many as 270 Australian troops were stationed in Afghanistan under the NATO Resolute Support (RS) mission in Afghanistan.
