Taliban’s intelligence official arrested in Balkh

KABUL (Pajhwok): A Taliban’s deputy intelligence agent for northe Balkh province has been arrested by National Directorate of Security (NDS) persoel, the spy service said on Wednesday.

A statement from NDS said the detainee, Mirwais alias Rahbar, was arrested red-handed collecting information about activities and movement of Afghan security forces.

Rahbar was arrested in Shirabad area of Dihdadi district during a special operation, the statement said, accusing Rahbar of his involvement in destructive activities.

The Taliban have said nothing so far about the arrest of their intelligence official in Balkh.
