Woman from Kandahar dies of Congo virus in Quetta

PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): A 45-year-old woman from southern Kandahar province has died of the Congo virus at a hospital in Pakistan’s Balochistan province.

Fatima Bibi, who was admitted to the Fatima Jiah Chest and TB Hospital in Quettafour days back, breathed her last late on Sunday, local media reported.

A 20-year-old man Habibullah, who was hospitalised along with Fatima, has also tested positive for the deadly virus.

Dr. Abbas Notkani. Ntkani said: “The condition of Fatima Bibi was serious and it further deteriorated late night and she passed away.”
