KABUL
(Pajhwok): Presidents of Afghanistan and Iran have agreed on the need for expanding bilateral cooperation and friendship, an Iranian media outlet reported on Monday.
President Ashraf Ghani called his Iranian counterpart Hassan Rouhani to greet him and his nation Nowroz, Mehr News Agency reported.
While spotlighting Iran’s important role in the region,Ghani advocated for further expansion of bilateral relations between the neighbouring countries.
He wished the Iranian leader good health, praying for the progress and success for the Iranian people during the new solar year.
Rouhani also extended his greetings to the Afghan govement and people on the occasion of Nowroz. He also called for reinvigorate Tehran-Kabul ties in different fields.
