Munitions depot seized in Paktika

SHARAN (Pajhwok): The National Directorate of Security (NDS) on Friday said that the intelligence persoel seized Taliban’s huge cache of arms and ammunition in the southeaste province of Paktika.

The depot containing weapons of different kinds, explosives, military uniforms, land mines and walkie-talkies, was recovered by the NDS persoel in the Mohammadkhel area on the outskirts of Sharan, the provincial capital of Paktika, an intelligence source said.

No one was arrested in coection with the munitions’ store, the source said.

A resident of Sharan, Hikmatullah Sharanwal, was happy over the achievement of intelligence persoel, saying the NDS agents saved the lives of many people by recovering the cache.
