12 killed, 9 wounded in Kabul suicide bombing: MoD

KABULinfo-icon (Pajhwok): A dozen people, mostly civilians, were killed and nine others were wounded in a suicide bombing in Kabul on Saturday, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) said. Two of the dead and one of the injured were Afghan National Army (ANA) service-members, a MoD statement said, adding the attacker blew himself up at the MoD etrance gate. Kabul police chief Abdul Rahman Rahimi told reporters at the site that the bomber walked to the entrance gate of the Ministry of Defence (MoD) and blew himself at around 3:30pm. Among the dead were mostly civilians, he said. He put the death toll at nine and said more than a dozen had been wounded in the blast. Earlier, the Ministry of Public Healthinfo-icon (MoPH) said six people wounded in the explosion were hospitalized.
