M6.6 earthquake shakes parts of Afghanistan

KABUL (Pajhwok): Strong tremors of earthquake shock parts of Afghanistan, including capital Kabul, on Sunday afteoon.

According to US Geological Survey (USGS), the epicenter of the earthquake was centered at a depth of 210km in Ishkashim district of northeaste Badakhshan province.

There was no immediate report of losses by the earthquake.

People came out of their houses and offices while fearing the fall of buildings around them.
