Education official dies in Parwan mishap

CHARIKAR (Pajhwok): An officer of education department in central Parwan province died in a motorcycle-car collision, an official said on Friday.

Col. Abdul Samad Zalmay, he deputy police chief, told Pajhwok Afghan News the accident occurred on Thursday afteoon in Syedkhel district of Parwan province.

Mohammad Alam, the Human Resource (HR) manager of the education department was on his way home along with his son when his motorcycle crashed with a car, he said. Alam died and his son was wounded in the accident, Zalmay said.

The injured was evacuated to Parwan Civil Hospital and the driver of the car was detained by police and was under interrogation.

The deputy education director, Nimzamuddin Rahimi, confirmed the death of Alam.
