Boy kills little sister with hunting gun

SHEBRGHAN (Pajhwok): A boy has killed his six years old sister while playing with a hunting gun in Mangjak district of northwestern Jwzjan province, an official said on Monday.

Mohammad Reza Ghafoori, the governor’s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News that the incident took place when a seven years old boy was playing with a hunting gun and mistakenly pressed its trigger.

He said the gun fire hit the girl and killed her. The brother and sister were playing with the gun alone in a room of their house and their parents and family members were in the house’s yard when the incident happened, he added.

Police have launched an investigation into the incident.

A number of residents of the area linked such incidents to negligence of parents.

Abdul Karim Fahimi, a resident of the Shebrghan City, said that some violent television dramas and films also left negative impact on children’s behavior
